Prep day #5

So I've made it through my first week of prep... Two to go. I also learned I get 20 days to shoot instead of 18. Oh luxury. I guess it is 10 percent after all. They are all quite happy... I still feel the impending crunch.

My wardrobe designer started today and we had lengthy discussions about various military uniforms and various militaries (Russian, Chechen, Delta, Army medic and CIA). It sounds like the current challenge is the insignias. Obviously, she's anxious about the cast (so am I). Of course she needs to know what size everyone is. I also sat through my first round of local casting. I saw 10 guys for various parts. Luckily for me, I actually want pretty thick accents (Russian officially, but Bulgarian will certainly pass for that). I met a couple of pretty good guys, so I'm kind of relieved. I'm sure there'll be other thing to be un-relieved about but at least that's something for now.

I stepped out a couple of minutes early and realized I hadn't shown the front of my apartment. Here it is. I'm on the second floor to the right of the front door. Starting at that attractive barred in balcony off the kitchen, down to the right.

I also saw "The Spider". They have taken car towing to a new level. It's more like car plucking! The operator can literally pick your car up (parked in no parking / whatever) in under a minute. This particular car had it's alarm blaring. Every time he'd hit a bump it would start afresh. Supposedly, they can grab a full sized Mercedes SUV - no problem.
